Haute Eats: The Ivy set to open in Jumeirah Emirates Towers

The style set in Dubai have yet another hot new place to hang out with the opening of The Ivy.

The original Ivy restaurant, located in London’s West End, has been famous for years for its reputation for power lunches with the biggest names in the entertainment business choosing to dine, see and be seen. In partnership with Jumeirah Restaurants, The Dubai outpost of The Ivy will be opening it’s doors on June 9, 2011.

Located on the ground floor of The Boulevard, Jumeirah Emirates Towers, The Ivy in Dubai will share the same standards of food, ambience and service as The Ivy in London. Jumeirah Restaurants have upped it’s game of late; Michelin-star Cantonese restaurant Hakkasan is set to open in November 2011 creating a buzzing food scene in an area generally reserved for business hours. With the injection of new and well known restaurant brands, The Boulevard will rival other hot night spots such as Souk Al Bahar and the DIFC.

The Ivy is designed to cater to a wide audience whether it be for business lunches, evening dinners or simply a drink at the bar. The restaurant will also be able to accommodate up to 16 guests in the private dining room for a more secluded experience. Much like its sister restaurant Rivington Grill, The Ivy in Dubai will offer a brasserie-style menu including The Ivy’s world famous shepherd’s pie, Dover sole, and Scandinavian iced berries with hot white chocolate sauce.

Phil Broad, managing director of Jumeirah Restaurants, said: “The opening of The Ivy in Dubai has been highly anticipated by patrons for whom dining at the London brassiere has become a custom.

It is a welcome addition to the Jumeirah restaurant portfolio. With its sophisticated décor and delicious food, The Ivy is set to become a landmark in Dubai. Similar to The Ivy in London, we are confident that delivering a gourmet experience and great value for money will keep our customers coming back to the Dubai restaurant.”
