Haute Dining: Kane Steakhouse to Open in South Beach’s Chic SoFi Neighborhood

Attention foodies! Miami is adding an extraordinary new dining concept to its already amazing portfolio. In mid-June, an exciting partnership between Mathew Glazier of NYC’s Strip House and the Miami nightlife trio behind Mansion, SET, and LouisRoman Jones, Justin Levine, and Eric Milon – will culminate in the unprecedented fine dining experience that is Kane Steakhouse.

Together, these four will bring Miami’s discerning palates a hot new destination for fine cuisine, modern design, and seductive ambiance in South Beach’s haute South of Fifth neighborhood. The tempting menu will feature delectable upscale steakhouse favorites – tasty appetizers, perfectly charred premium cuts, savory sides, and an array of fine seafood, pork, and poultry dishes, all to be paired with an extensive list of fine wines and innovative cocktails.

Behind the sumptuous cuisine is Chef Daniel Ganem, one of the culinary scene’s up-and-coming chefs to be on the lookout for. Hailing from the kitchens of Michael Mina’s Bourbon Steak and Laurent Tourondel’s BLT Steak, the Miami native brings to Kane an impressive steakhouse savvy and experience under world-renowned and Michelin-starred chef Martin Berasategui from Spain’s Basque region. Ganem will work together with expert restaurant manager John Thai – coming off of 16 years at Bal Harbour’s celebrated Carpaccio Restaurant – to bring Miami an unbeatable fine dining experience.

The restaurant’s stunning design is the product of a collaboration of Francois Frossard Design and 7 Sins Design Group, resulting in a chic yet organic dining room capable of accommodating 122 hungry gastronomes. Cypress walls, black eel-skin booths, and a striking white onyx bar meet with modern touches of chrome and black raw silk-tufted walls to create a unique and sexy setting and ambiance. Plasma screens – hidden behind mirrored panels when not in use – are positioned along the back of the bar while a private dining area sits behind dramatic glass shelving and a one-way mirror.

Kane Steakhouse is scheduled to open in mid-June 2011 and is located at 431 Washington Avenue.
