Haute Dining: Hatfield’s
by HauteLiving

The long-awaited reopening of one of LA’s finest restaurants, Hatfield’s, has finally arrived.

Ranked by Bon Appetit Magazine as one of the top 10 best restaurants of 2010, the restaurant relocated to a newer more spacious location on Melrose and is opening its doors once again.

Co-owners and power couple Quinn and Karen Hatfield turned to designer Alexis Readinger of Preen Design who, in an attempt to maintain the intimate atmosphere of the previously smaller space, incorporated nature-inspired design elements such as walls covered by lush fauna and linen lanterns fashioned to resemble honey. There is even a window in the dining room through which every table in the restaurant can get a glimpse of where the magic is created – the kitchen.

The restaurant’s new look is understated, yet perfectly chic. The new menu contains all the old classics, but also an expanded menu featuring dishes like Date & Mint Crusted Lamb, Berkshire Pork Ravioli and their signature yet delectably unconventional “Croque Madame.”

Hatfield’s has also created two separate seasonal menus, prix fixe, one regular and one vegetarian. The exceptionally well-crafted menu is complimented by dessert selection nothing short of irresistible. Word has it that the Sugar & Spice Beignets, accompanied by a Mexican chocolate milkshake shot, are to die for.
