For many women who may claim they have a shoe fetish, Guiseppe Zanotti has a shoe that would make most fashionistas red with envy.  The designer has produced a shoe that is encrusted with diamonds and other jewels from Chopard jewels. According to elleuk.com the shoe consist precious stones that are more expensive than the common home with rose gold chains, 22 carats of diamonds, 134 carats of rubellites and 199 carats of pink sapphires.

The shoes were presented at the Cannes film festival on May 19, 2011 by super model Anja Rubik, 28 from Poland.

These shoes if worn as a bracelet also have a complementing pair of rose gold, pink sapphire, diamond hoop earrings, which were both auctioned off after the shoes were worn by Ms. Rubnik at the amfAR’s Cinema Against AIDS gala where the shoes went to a lucky bidder for $180,000. Chopard has been a supporter of the organization for many years and the shoes sale will greatly benefit the cause.

Chopard’s Co-President Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele says, “This year, we wished to support the charity through an idea than took shape when I met Giuseppe Zanotti. His talent has inspired a project combining our respective crafts.” Alongside the jeweled encrusted shoes to support the cause, the auction also included Karl Langerfeld fashion photography, and the Roberto Cavalli dress that Naomi Campbell wore to Cavalli’s 40th birthday celebration last year.
