5 Napkin Burger Celebrates New SoBe Location With “Build the Miami Burger” Contest
by Jasmine Berry

Popular upscale New York burger joint 5 Napkin Burger is finally heading south to peddle their haute hamburgers with a new Lincoln Road location set to open on Thursday, June 16.
5 Napkin Burger first opened in Hell’s Kitchen in 2008. Reputed as the only upscale restaurant dedicated to the burger, South Beach marks owners Robert Guarino and Andy D’Amico’s fifth 5 Napkin Burger location. The eatery also boasts locations on the Upper East Side, Queens, and Boston.

The South Beach location will have the same beloved menu with fan favorites like the all-American Bacon Cheddar, Italian Turkey, Veggie, Lamb, Tuna, Inside Out, and the guilt-free Burger Salad. The diverse menu is a rare intersection of carnivore and vegetarian. In addition to its headlining burgers, it offers a variety of sushi maki rolls, salads, soups, an ample drink selection, and even deep-fried pickles.
To celebrate the opening of the new location, 5 Napkin Burger is accepting entries from South Floridians who think they can create the best “Miami Burger.” (We propose the curry-mango-plantain-avocado-yuca burger. The best of South Florida tropical dining all on one bun!) Winners will receive $1,000 in dining at 5 Napkin Burger and a spot on the opening menu.

Contestants can enter online through Wednesday, June 8 by submitting a recipe, sketch, video, or concept that best describes the Miami Burger. The winning entry will be announced on Monday, June 13 at 10 a.m. on 5 Napkin Burger’s Facebook page (facebook.com/5napkinburger) and Twitter (twitter.com/5napkinburger).
5 Napkin Burger South Beach is located at 455 Lincoln Road, on the corner of Lincoln and Drexel Avenue. To make reservations call (305) 538-2277 or visit opentable.com.
