Last night, Moscow’s most glamorous haunt Tatler Club, located on two floors of the Radisson Royal Hotel, celebrated its one-year anniversary. It was not easy to get to the entrance as myriads of Tatler Club famous friends and fans came to celebrate the occasion causing appalling traffic in the area.
Guests who managed to get there in time were warmly welcomed by the hosts of the evening–restaurateur Alexander Sorkin and Tatler’s gorgeous editor-in-chief Ksenia Solovyova. As illustrious invitees feasted on chilled Champagne and exquisite culinary treats, the entertainment started. First, Dutch band The Raveonettes sang for the guests.
Then it was time for some serious groovy tunes and everyone’s attention turned to the DJ for a night – Ellis Dellal, goddaughter of Mick Jagger and heiress of a multimillion dollar fortune.
Tatler is the world-famous fashionable magazine; and the restaurant named after it, is obliged to be similarly glamorous. Tatler Club is centre of gravity for the latest trends in food, music and design. The project is designed for those who always like to be in the spotlight. Tatler Club impresses with its dimensions—high ceilings supported by stately columns, and plate-glass windows in the floor with captivating views of the garden and the embankment below. Fashion and style are present in every detail, and the interior is filled with photographs from the Tatler archive, shots of society life and smart people from around the world.

Whether its breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a late dinner that could almost pass for an early breakfast, no place is as accommodating and familiar as your neighborhood diner. Open 24 hours a day seven days a week serving great food at reasonable prices, diners have become such a part of the American landscape that the Food Network has an entire show devoted to them. So if you live inside or outside of the perimeter, here are a few places to celebrate one of America’s most underrated but overeaten culinary traditions.
If you’re craving a healthy home-made meal in a stylish atmosphere then head to Saladicious. Located on Jumeirah Beach Road, this quaint welcoming eatery serves a delicious menu of some of healthiest home-made eats in town.
A first glance at the menu’s extensive list of gourmet dishes including steaks, pastas, paellas, risottos, freshly prepared salads and delectable desserts might make it difficult to make a selection. All meals are prepared freshly by Saladicious’ team of Venezuelan chefs which give the restaurant its vibrant Latin feel.
It was lunch time when I visited so I opted for a light starter of edame served with lemon and a refreshing lemon and mint drink blended with sugar. For my main course I chose a delicious Sashimi Salad made with salmon cut in thick slices served with avocado and mixed lettuce and garnished with homemade Saladicious mayo, soy sauce reduction and sprinkled with sesame seeds. The salad was light and bursting with taste; perfect for a simple yet delicious lunch during hot summer days. I couldn’t resist leaving without an espresso and one of Saladicious’ tempting desserts. A heavenly home-made chocolate and cherry cheesecake was the perfect way to round off my meal.
Wonderful atmosphere, great service, and excellent food, Saladicious tops the charts for some of the best home-made food in town!

A glamorous crowd of Dubai VIPs and specialists in the realms of fashion and luxury gathered together this past Tuesday for the launch of renowned Lebanese designer Elie Saab’s first fragrance. The event was held in at The Pavilion in the presence of the designer himself.
The event elegantly toured the creation of Elie Saab’s first perfume. We were shown the inspirations behind the designer’s mesmerizing couture; the selection of the perfume bottle; and the process of selecting the most befitting scent through beautifully produced films and presentations. The result is fragrance which, the Elie Saab’s own words, “…expresses a radiant femininity and which includes the duality of my world: The light of the Middle East and the modernity of the West.”
Composed as an ode to light, L’eau de Parfum created by Francis Kurkdjian is a homage to the designer’s universe. “What I found fascinating in working for Elie Saab, was the idea of interpreting light; I didn’t have any specific images in mind, just sensations: the whiteness of the sun at its zenith, radiant femininity, a modern interpretation of voluptousness,” explains Kurkdjian.
The perfume celebrates the splendor of radiant femininity with a floral solar woody theme. The scent exudes a permanent exchange between flowers and wood providing the wearer with an exuberant sense of subtle and enrapturing warm tones of elegance.
Magnetic and radiant Polish model Anja Rubik stars as the face of Elie Saab’s new perfume. The event unveiled an installation of the ad campaign which captured Anja in a graceful nude flowing Elie Saab dress walking through dark city streets clothed in an aura of light.
“A woman must be feminine. She must be like a butterfly,” says Elie Saab. Elegant yet determined, L’eau de Parfum captures the essence of femininity.
The stars came out in droves last night to celebrate the inaugural flight (VX) from Virgin Airlines who began their exclusive Chicago O’hare service yesterday. Led by Sir Richard Branson donning a feisty boxing getup (they were really pushing the Rocky theme as the challenger airline), Adrian Grenier, Virginia Madsen (Sideways), Jesse Williams (Grey’s Anatomy), Naturi Naughton (3LW), Colin Egglesfield (Melrose Place), Creed (The Office) and two pilots clad in Blues Brothers gear took the Windy City by storm to commemorate the occasion. As both West Coast flights landed in tandem, the crew was greeted by a grand water canon salute and then ushered to the after-party at ROOF at the Wit for a bumping good time. From the people to the signature drinks and cotton candy, no detail was spared.
Offering only direct service to LA and San Francisco, Virgin Airlines has made a name for itself as the quirky “underdog” hipster brand. Boasting neon pink headphones, the ability to upgrade seats onboard on the fly and movies, wifi and snacks on demand it’s no surprise they have regularly been voted the “people’s choice airline.” Word on the street is they will also soon be offering make your own s’mores complete with chocolate shots.
All in all- a knockout.
Ever wonder what it’s like to live like a winner? If you’ve got $7.2 million, you can find out. Charlie Sheen has put his Sherman Oaks home on the market after ten years.
In March, Charlie Sheen doled out a cool $7 mill. for a 9,020-square-foot, 6-bed, 9-bath mansion in the prestigious Mulholland Estates high in the hills above and between Beverly Hills and Sherman Oaks. Now he has put his longtime home, situated right around the corner from his new digs, on the market for $7.2 million.
Sheen purchased the home in 1997 for $2.5 million. The ornate Mediterranean mansion was built in 1992, measures 7,924 square feet and in addition to five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, ti has 3 fireplaces, a library, staff room, spa, swimming pool, a 3-car attached garage, and bar…serving up tiger blood perhaps?
The reported idea behind the purchase of the second home, in addition to supposedly purchasing a few more properties in the neighborhood, was to give one to ex-wife Denise Richards and another to newly divorced wife Brooke Mueller. Perhaps Sheen realized the fallacy of that notion, and thus has put his Mulholland home on the market as a result.

Hurray for 3D! Blockbuster hit Titanic is set to be re-released in theaters worldwide April 2012, but this time, in 3D. It will be just in time for the 100th year anniversary of the massive vessel that sailed out in April, 1912. Not only is it the 100th anniversary of the ship’s sail, but it is also the 100th anniversary of Paramount Studios. Chairman and CEO of Paramount, Brad Grey, said, “We cannot think of a better way to mark the occasion than with this re-release of Titanic.”
The extensive works and conversations of the 3D film will be overseen by James Cameron and his Lightstorm producing partner John Landau who initially produced the hit movie. Though the 3D version is still in the early stage stages, Cameron claims to be moving rather slowly, to ensure that they do everything correctly to make this 3D release a proper one.

For the third year in a row, The Club at Ritz-Carlton’s Laguna Niguel property has been recognized as the number one Ritz-Carlton club experience globally. According to guests, much of its success is credited to its genuine and attentive staff.
As one guest says, “My wife and I stay at on The Club Level every two to three months. We live locally, but take advantage of the amazing property and hospitality to ‘escape’ on a mini vacation. Every time we stay, Mary, Penni and Kathryn are so amazingly gracious. They are the reason we continue to return each time. We are not treated like ‘guests,’ but rather like friends and family. They make the experience so enjoyable, relaxing, and comfortable! The little ‘touches’ they provide are so special They have amazing memories; they remember little details about us that shows they really care. Great job! We can’t wait for our next stay.”
The oceanfront resort is situated on a 150-foot bluff in beautiful Laguna Beach, about halfway between San Diego and Los Angeles.
