Save the Date: Miami Fashion Gives Back – May 13
by HauteLiving

Fashion heads to the Shops at Mayfair this weekend. Are you ready to shop for a good cause?
The stylish group kicked off the event back in April at the Ornare showroom in the Design District. In case you missed it, images from that event can be seen in The Miami Scene section of our blog. Since the kickoff event, thousands of designer items have been donated by many of the city’s top players and socialites like Alicia Cervera, Debra Scholl, Kim Wood, Daniela Swaebe and Nick D’Annunzio. The pop-up fundraiser store will feature such designer brands like Carolina Herrera, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and Chanel.

The event runs from Friday, May 13 through Saturday, May 14 and kicks off with a VIP Preview Sale on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. The entrance for Friday’s event is $25 and features a happy hour sponsored by Peroni. Saturday’s shopping admission is $10 and runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Fashionably Conscious is a locally founded and run charity which benefits Coconut Grove Cares, a non-profit organization dedicated to building a better community for children living in the Coconut Grove community. The foundation specifically works through the Barnyard Community Center, which offers a safe and supervised center for neighborhood children.
The item that you purchase will not only tell the stories of the previous owner, but also that of having helped a child in need. What’s better than that?
You can check out the group’s Facebook page for more information.
