Gladstones

For more than 33 years, Gladstones has been running an institution in southern California as the go-to destination for the freshest seafood available. Sbe, the reputable hospitality, restaurant and entertainment group, has proudly acquired the restaurant.  Executive Chef Daniel Elmaleh has a direct and focused vision when preparing his dishes, and that is to always begin with the highest quality ingredients to ensure proper taste. All seafood is sourced daily; a testament Gladstones can easily prove, as there are no freezers on-site. One of Gladstones’ signature and most popular dishes, the Iced Seafood Tower, represents a selection of ceviche, oysters, shrimp, mussels, crab legs, and lobster from the restaurant’s raw bar.

Nobu

Nobu is the not exactly a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. The international restaurant partnership is, however, always a local favorite no matter where the location, and in Malibu it’s just the same. With special Malibu dishes like Tai Sweet Shiso with Crispy Shiitake, King Crab Salad, Panko Rosemary Oyster with Jalapeno Ponzu, and Arctic Char with Shiso Serrano, Nobu gives local flavor to the restaurant renowned for reinventing Japanese cuisine.

Andrianna Shamaris

Furniture designer and company founder, AndriannaShamaris, has a simple motto: “Perfection is imperfection.” Taking a beat from Confucian-like wisdom, Shamaris’ motto is not hard to understand when you enter her Malibu store. With furniture, art objects, and architectural pieces taking their inspiration from the principle of found beauty, Shamaris’ designs reflect a natural, if not rustic, aesthetic that embraces the raw over the refined.
