Make-A-Wish Foundation’s 25th Annual Wish Ball Features Dennis Miller, Richard Roeper

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Illinois will hold its key fundraiser the Wish Ball, Saturday May 21, 2011 at UIC Forum with celebrity host and five time Emmy award winning comedian Dennis Miller and celebrity emcee Richard Roeper. Celebrating 25 years of granting wishes after being started by volunteers, the chapter has since granted more than 10,000 wishes across the state. Last year, the Foundation fulfilled 755 wishes, the most ever in chapter history.
Their annual black tie gala helps generate revenue to support wishes to Illinois children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. This magical night includes cocktails, dinner, dancing, a raffle, and live and silent auctions. Tickets are $500 per person or $5,000 per table of ten. Premium tables can be reserved for $10,000. Spotlighting Leaders in Joy, 25 individuals and groups that have been an important part of making wishes come true will be honored. Integral in building the chapter to the largest and most well-known wish granting organization in the region, these special individuals and groups continue to be influential in growing the chapter further to reach all eligible children with life-threatening medical conditions.
The honorees include wish children, local and national celebrities, donors and volunteers. At Wish ball and throughout the anniversary year, the Foundation is recognizing the Leaders In Joy to highlight how important so many different people are to the history of making the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois the vital, engaging organization that it is today.
