Longines Celebrates Animal Kingdom’s Win with Precious Time at Kentucky Derby

Last Saturday was a good day for the Animal Kingdom team after a hard-earned win at the Kenutcky Derby. Animal Kingdom covered the 1¼ miles from the starting gate to the finish line in exactly 2.04 seconds as registered by Longines the official time keeper of the this year’s 137th Kentucky DerbyAnimal Kingdom acquired a bucket of winnings for his team members, who were each presented with The Longines Column-Wheel Chronograph, at the Winners’ Circle Gala. Owner Barry Irwin, trainer Graham Motion, and jockey Johnny Velazquez all were pleased to accept the superior watches from Jennifer Judkins, U.S. Brand President for Longines.

In addition, it was the third year for the Pinked Out theme, where Kentuky Oaks and Susan G. Komen for the Cure partner to bring more awareness to breast cancer and celebrate survivors. Niki Taylor and Betsey Johnson were on hand to congratulate the winner of the Ladies Fashion Contest at Kentucky Oaks Day and presented her with a Ladies Dolcevita timepiece as well.
