Here’s to You: Las Vegas Plans a Year Round Beer Fest

As if you needed an excuse to visit Vegas, along comes the Las Vegas World Beer Fest, what plans to be an international Oktoberfest micro brews, stouts, ales and more. When it launches Oct. 13, you can sample more than 500 beers from 100 brewmasters worldwide every Thursday through Sunday.

It plans to carry brands that are hard to find in the United States, such as Dieu Du Ciel, Budvar and Wesvleteren. Every weekend will feature new beers as well.

Look for live performances from Las Vegas-based and international bands, an above ground swimming pool, an above ground spa, food and celebrities behind some of the taps.

While Munich’s Oktoberfest lasts 16 days and attracts two million visitors, the Las Vegas World Beer Fest plans to reach one million visitors in its first year.

Watch for future announcements, but right now, organizers plan to hold the fest every week, Thursday through Sunday, from noon to 11 p.m. The event will be located at the southwest corner of Flamingo Road and Koval Lane, behind Bally’s. The entrance fee is $10 and only 5,000 tickets will be available per day. Package deals including food and beer tastings are also available.

For further information, to purchase advanced tickets and for details on becoming a vendor, visit www.WBFLV.com.
