HAutos: Alfa Romeo and NOVITEC Produce the Fastest Street-Legal Alfa Romeo To Date

Alfa Romeo, the esteemed Italian auto brand that has been involved in car racing since 1911, and German specialty tuning company NOVITEC present the famous marque’s most powerful and fastest street legal model – the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider with NOVITEC’s supercharger conversion. The Spider line of Alfas has been heralded by car enthusiasts from past and present as being some of the most beautiful cars ever made, from those from back in the 1950s to the legendary Duetto, made famous with Dustin Hoffman behind the wheel in The Graduate.

This new model is a derivation of the Alfa 8C Competizione and highlights all that Alfa Romeo is most celebrated for – superior beauty in its design, extremely precise handling, the use of state-of-the-art technology, and one hell of a ride. While the standard 8C Spider outputs an already-impressive 450hp, the amped-up machine allows it to jump to an incredible 600hp effortlessly due to its high-tech supercharger system, with top speeds reaching 189 mph. The mechanics also boast a 4.7-liter V8 engine, stainless steel high-performance exhaust system, a custom-tailored tire/wheel combination, and an adjustable sport suspension.

Of course, a beauty like this is a limited edition, and for good reason. According to NOVITEC, the sexy sports car is based on the technology of the Maserati GT (both Maserati and Alfa Romeo are part of the Fiat Group) and has been bestowed with a specially adapted development by NOVITEC TRIDENTE, a specialty division of NOVITEC. The high-tech supercharger conversion for the 4.7-liter V8 engine had to be custom modified to fit nicely under the 8C’s stylish hood, which bears the company’s trademark trident.

The already-gorgeous body of the chic two-seater has not undergone any cosmetic changes, but the new model boasts three-piece NA3 wheels, a stunning staggered combination of 21- and 22-diameter alloy wheels to accentuate the elegant wedge-shaped body, which feature five double spokes that can be customized to any color, and tires that are provided by Formula 1 supplier Pirelli. Additional personalization can be done personally through NOVITEC, who will work with you to create your fantasy vehicle – down to the cockpit design, choice of fine leathers, and luxe Alcantara interior detailing.
