Haute Spot: Chic Hip’tique Boutique Opens in Santa Monica
by Jasmine Berry

Haute Living has discovered a new haute spot we’re dying to ‘hip’ you west coast shoppers to: Hip’tique, Santa Monica’s new haven for fashionistas tired of the same old same. The store asserts itself as an intersection of beachside culture and chic aesthetic, a refreshing pairing of whimsy and luxury.

Hip’tique originated on the east coast, but has now relocated to the chic Main Street shopping area of Santa Monica. The boutique carries mostly young designers, such as Ulla Johnson and Sienna Miller’s Twenty8Twelve, peppered with a couple classic labels Nanette Lepore and Diane von Furstenberg. The socially aware shop also carries a number of eco-friendly products, like the popular burlap sacks from FEED Project and H. Gillerman Organics’s natural beauty products.

Already a hit with California girls, Hip’tique’s intimate environment and genuine service will keep customers coming back. Don’t be surprised if owner and buyer Christine Berardi offers her advice on a purchase. Her vision behind Hip’tique is for the boutique to feel like a personal closet. With all of the eclectic, chic items just waiting to be taken home to the closets of Santa Monica’s haute shoppers, Hip’tique just might.

Hip’tique is located at 2727 Main St., Santa Monica, 310.399.6106; www.hiptique.com
