Over the weekend, Puerto Vallarta played host to a bevy of exclusive guests for the annual Punta Mita Gourmet & Golf Classic. As a main media partner, Haute Living was a honored guest of the three-day event.

Guests were greeted with welcoming cocktails on Thursday at the Four Seasons Punta Mita, presented by Riviera Nayarit Conventions and Visitors Bureau, to celebrate the inaugural day of the Punta Mita Cup. Invitees teed off Friday, April 29 with a cheerful Tattinger champagne toast on the Punta Mita Resorts Pacifico Course, designed by legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus.

The plush accommodations were provided by the luxurious St. Regis Punta Mita Resort and the event, in keeping with the Gourmet & Golf Classic theme, invited chefs, winemakers, and sommeliers to lend their expertise, enjoy the festivities, and indulge in world-class golf and fine international fare. Light epicurean comestibles prepared by guest chefs, wine tastings and creative libations and tequilas courtesy of the resort were offered to guests throughout the weekend.

Haute Living got firsthand look at the prestigious St. Regis property, which boasts expansive views of glittering ocean. Situated on the shoreline of famed Mexican Riviera the hotel uses the Sierra Nevada Mountains as its spectacular backdrop.

Upon arrival at the waterfront resort, we were was treated to the relaxing ambiance of the hotel’s Remède Spa followed by family-inspired dishes at a special luncheon.  Saturday morning spawned a breathtaking trip to Marietas Islands on the Mondrian, the official St. Regis Yacht.  Later that evening Haute Living hosted a gala dinner in the lavish Astor Ballroom where guests tasted dishes from five chefs all using local Mexican ingredients. A South-American inspired farewell brunch on Sunday morning sent us off, lamenting our sojourn.
