Doug E. Fresh gave a lesson in old school hip hop at Lavo.
Lavo went old school last night when Doug E. Fresh took over nightclub at the Palazzo last night. “The Human Beat Box” started his performance with a lesson in old school hip hop, playing songs that revolutionized the genre. He then broke into a beat box performance, beat boxing and rapping Slick Rick’s “We Like to Party.” To top off the night, he taught the crowd how to Dougie since he was the originator of the dance moves that Cali Swag brought back with their song “Teach Me How to Dougie.” After wowing the packed club for Old School Wednesdays, he took over a table near the stage with friends.
At Tao at the Venetian, Georges St. Pierre dined with friends. The UFC fighter, who is training for his next fight, enjoyed favorites including sea bass, lobster wontons and the giant fortune cookie.
Fresh off launching his new autobiography “Play Like You Mean It,” head coach for the New York Jets Rex Ryan dined at Nove Italiano inside Palms Wednesday night. Accompanied by his wife Michelle, the couple enjoyed dinner at a table on the terrace with its view of the Strip. The couple had signature dishes such as the calamari, crudo, salmon and a side of the famous “death by potatoes.” Ryan also took a tour of the kitchen and signed Executive Chef Geno Bernardo’s famous celebrity door.
