Haute Event: Steven Alan Hosts Fashion Night at the Tannery

Tomorrow, May 5, The Curated, which is the high-fashion top floor of The Tannery’s flagship location on Boylston Street, will host a Steven Alan spring shopping event 5 to 8 p.m. The Curated has made an impressive launch into the fashion event industry lately, as evidenced by the fact that Steven Alan himself will be hosting the event. Alan, who opened his first store in New York in 1994, has appeared in Vogue, Elle, GQ, and InStyle, among others.
The Steven Alan brand is synonymous with a casual-yet-chic downtown look. He works with palates of neutrals, pastels, and occasional pops of color. His women’s line includes cropped blazers, flowing t-shirts, and relaxed pants, while his cool and refreshing men’s line includes single needle shirts, vintage-inspired jeans, and an impressive array of swim trunks.
Refreshments and entertainment at the event include drinks provided by Absolute Wild Tea, as well as DJ 7L from Bladerunners. The Curated will have Fall 2011 pieces on display and available for the savviest of shoppers for pre-order. The Tannery will offer 10 percent off all Steven Alan clothing tomorrow night. In addition to Steven Alan, other established and up-and-coming designers are available for your perusal, with brands such as Yves Saint Laurent, Rag & Bone, Lanvin, Moncler, Dolce & Gabbana, Helmut Lang, and Alexander McQueen showcased.
The Tannery is located at 711 Boylston St., at Exeter, in the Back Bay. 617.267.5500
