London Socialites partnered with My Man in Champagne and traditional British menswear store Austin Reed to host an exclusive Growers Champagne Tasting.  The event was held at the prestigious Austin Reed’s Q-Club Champagne Bar in Regent Street, London.

Members from London Socialites (a Private Members Club), Director Lauren Lorenzo, and members from Austin Reed’s Q-Club were in attendance, amongst others from television to the fashion and fine art industries. Author Giles Halling, and Edmund and Nick Breeze from My Man in Champagne introduced the selctions throughout the evening with some very interesting insights about the champagne houses and variety of grapes used to make the bottled gold.

Seven select champagnes were chosen for the event including, H. Mandois, Brut Nature, Alexandre Penet, Curvee Extra Brut, A.Bergere, Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru, Penet-Chardonnet Reserve, Grand Cru, Brut Nature, Aspasie, Rose, Aspasie, Vintage 2006, H.Mandois, Curvee Victor 2002. Guests at the soiree had the privilege of being the first to sample and drink the world’s exclusive Alexandre Penet, Cuvée Extra. Alexandre Penet is brand new from the house of Penet-Chardonnet with an accent on the Pinot, Cuvée Extra Brut is based on the excellent 2008 vintage plus 30 percent reserve wines that bears a fine balance between richness and persistent minerality. 5gr/l dosage.

Carefully crafted canapés prepared and served by La Masseria were chosen to accompany each wine.  The event was well received and everyone in attendance arrived in high spirits and departed imbued by them.
