Haute Event: Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, and Ke$ha Make Appearances on Stage at 14th Annual Wango Tango Concert
by Evan Hosie

Last night, Ke$ha, Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, Selena Gomez, Lupe Fiasco, T-Pain, Jason Derulo, Matthew Morrison, Far East Movement, NewBoyz, Cobra Starship and newcomer, Cody Simpson all hit the stage for KIIS FM’s 14th annual Wango Tango music extravaganza at Staples Center.

American Idol host–and 102.7 KIIS FM’s #1 rated morning personality–Ryan Seacrest hosted the pop music fest with a special guest host appearance from Britney Spears.  ”American Idol” alum Jordin Sparks who introduced Pia Toscano; Casey Abrams (“American Idol” Season 10 Fan Favorites) who surprised the audience with performances of Whitney Houston’s “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” and Maroon 5’s “Harder To Breathe” respectively. Ne-Yo was the evening’s other surprise when he hit the stage with Pitbull to sing their latest hit, “Let’s Do It Tonight”.

Jennifer Lopez joined Pitbull for the night’s spectacular finale performance and emerged from below the stage in a spider woman-esque glittery silver catsuit to sing her hit “On The Floor”. After a technical power glitch silenced Lopez’s microphone, with no vocals the singer was all-pro and soldiered on with her performance not skipping a beat in her dance choreography until the end.

When the sound returned, she instructed the band to take it from the top and the crowd got an encore. After the show, Jennifer took to Twitter.com to laugh off the glitch, writing, “Really?!! The whole sound system goes down? But…No One Holds Momma Down!!!! Haha!! Live Show, Speakers Out, Fun Times!”
