Haute Event: Fashion for Relief Japan Appeal

Just a little over two months has passed since the catastrophic 8.9 magnitutde earthquake that triggered a massive tsunami in Northern Japan, about 250 miles from Tokyo. To help victims of the disaster, celebrities that were attending the Cannes Film Festival came together for the Fashion for Relief JAPAN APPEAL. The event was held at the historic Forville Market and included notable guests like Ivana Trump, Roberto Cavalli, tennis star Novak Djokovic, Roberta Armani, Denise Rich, Franca Sozzani from Italian Vogue all attended the fashion show, auction, and cocktail party extravaganza to raise awareness and funds through the Red Cross and Red Crescent International.
In the past, fashion for Relief has also donated its efforts towards mothers and babies are at the focus of the Haitian new health care system, minimizing deaths during childbirth.
