Haute Event: Drink Up for a Good Cause
by Evan Hosie

This Monday, May 30, the second annual City of Angels Wine Fest takes place at the Music Center Plaza in downtown L.A. If you missed it last year, let us tell you what‘s in store.
Featuring dozens of California wineries, a silent auction and live performances, it’s a full day of epicurean and cultural pleasures. Plan on getting there right when it opens because five hours isn’t even enough time to try everything.

Vendors at the festival, which runs from 1 to 6 p.m., include Nick & Stef’s, Café Pinot, Kendall’s Brasserie and Tina Tacos. It’s $25 for four food tickets; $70 for four food tickets with unlimited servings of wine; and $150 for unlimited food and drinks with VIP access. Proceeds go toward fighting homelessness on behalf of Volunteers of America of Greater Los Angeles. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit City of Angels Wine Fest.
