Brits in Burberry a plenty jammed to tunes from Life in Film at the launch for the newly christened Burberry Brit outpost in Covent Gardens.

A lofty 10,000-square-foot space holds rich espresso-stained wood floor which blend seamlessly into dark display shelves toting denim, trench coats, and indigenous garb galore in the contemporary digs. “We want these places to be a venue – yes, it’s a store, but it’s also a venue for young British acts,” said Christopher Bailey, Burberry’s chief creative officer, according to WWD Eye Scoop’s blog.

Burberry Brit offers a grungier side of the prim line relative to forward-thinking fashionistas in the Queen’s nation, while still maintaining elite craftsmanship and structured styling.

Champagne sippers included such names as Lily Donaldson, Tali Lennox, Poppy Delevigne, Julia Restoin Roitfeld, Amber Atherton alongside Burberry’s spring 2011 faces Cara Delevigne and Sophie Kennedy-Clark, the Scottish actress who said, “They’re absolutely gorgeous, so that helps,” swooning over the band’s multi-talents.  The former Burberry marketing mug is slated to appear in Tim Burton’s new film Dark Shadows, but was living in the moment as she reunited with fellow Burberry models.
