Designed after the classic style of a Mediterranean villa, the Acqualina Resort and Spa has quickly become a favorite South Florida beachfront retreat. In its five years of service, it has garnered several accolades, including the Fodor’s Travel Gold Award, Spafinders Readers Choice Award, and two AAA Five Diamond Awards. So it was only fitting that on Monday, May 16 the ultra-luxury resort celebrated its five year anniversary with a bang.

Hosted by Miami starlets Claudia Brod, Allison Feldman, Christina Getty Maerks, Laura Buccellati and General Manager Sase Gjorsovski, the invitation-only fete also marked the debut of Beneath A Starlet Sky. This latest novel by New York Times’ best-selling authors Amanda Goldberg and Ruthanna Khalighi Hopper, is the sequel to their well-received first publication, ‘Celebutantes.’

A private cocktail reception was held on the resort’s breathtaking beachside Front Lawn, where guests were greeted with Five Year Anniversary specialty cocktails and the music of the renowned Dj Shlomi. As the sun set, General Manager Gjorsovski raised his glass in a toast the resort’s five successful years, its numerous achievements, and in thanks to all the supportive guests in attendance. The audience danced the night away under the stars. And as the evening came to a close, numerous guests were tucked into their cars at valet and were greeted with carefully placed Cookies by Shar in the shapes of diamonds and the Acqualina ‘A’—a perfect end to a perfect night.
