Haute 100 New York Update: Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry to Expand Into Asia With Debut Store in Hong Kong

Never one to miss out on a golden opportunity, Ivanka Trump has announced plans to expand Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry, her line of gorgeous accessories that has seen great reception in the U.S., into Asia. As China continues to witness growth in newly wealthy citizens with a penchant for luxury, Trump plans to launch her line through Hong Kong-based Studio 1601.

According to Red Luxury, Studio 1601 plans the first Ivanka Trump Fine Jewelry store in Hong Kong, set to open this year, to generate more than $3 million in sales during their first year, with an estimated 20-25 percent growth per year. Trump plans to expand even further into Asia, with projected stores to open additionally in Shanghai, Beijing, Taipei, and Macau in 2012.
Of her decision to expand into Asia, Trump has said, “The luxury market in China and Hong Kong is very strong and the customer is aligned with my own target audience.”
