Haute 100 Los Angeles Update: James Cameron’s ‘Titanic’ Set for Official 3D Re-Release in April 2012
by HauteLiving

Hurray for 3D! Blockbuster hit Titanic is set to be re-released in theaters worldwide April 2012, but this time, in 3D. It will be just in time for the 100th year anniversary of the massive vessel that sailed out in April, 1912. Not only is it the 100th anniversary of the ship’s sail, but it is also the 100th anniversary of Paramount Studios. Chairman and CEO of Paramount, Brad Grey, said, “We cannot think of a better way to mark the occasion than with this re-release of Titanic.”
The extensive works and conversations of the 3D film will be overseen by James Cameron and his Lightstorm producing partner John Landau who initially produced the hit movie. Though the 3D version is still in the early stage stages, Cameron claims to be moving rather slowly, to ensure that they do everything correctly to make this 3D release a proper one.
