He hails from Marseille, France; his name, Baptiste Giabiconi, 21-year-old pizza boy dreamer turned into hot model is now posing for some of the biggest fashion brands there are out there like, Chanel, Fendi, and Cavalli and has even with posed controversial supermodel, Kate Moss.
With his flawless physic, his unique style and heavy influence of rock & roll glamour, and tremendous personality; this caught the attention of the well-known watch brand Richard Mille, which uses Baptiste in one of his promotional images to unveil some of his timeless pieces. The model himself has an inclination for Richard Mille watches and has decided to wear two of Mille’s models form the collection: the pocket watch RM 020 and RM 016 Titalyt.
Son of a Corsican mechanic, four-years ago the youngling was working at a helicopter plant in his hometown trying to save up some cash to start his own pizza delivery service in Paris, until he one day ran into a woman that gave him some friendly advice. “I met a woman at the gym who suggested I create a photo book,” reports the French beau to Interview magazine.
He rose to fame rather quickly after becoming the “new muse” of designer and photographer Karl Lagerfeld, and ever since, has been wanted for his pretty boy face and grandeur body. Talk about stepping it up a notch in creating the prefect portfolio!
Much of Baptiste’s work, such as, ad campaigns and editorials, have been shot by, fashion guru Karl Lagerfeld. Appearing first in Lagerfeld’s own label ads, the young model has been the face of Chanel since spring of ‘09. Recently, Baptiste has been featured in a few spring campaigns for both H&M and Dior Homme.
