Etihad Teams Up With Swarovski To Treat First Class Passengers

When stepping onto the aircraft, a first class passenger has never had such a glittering welcome. Literally.
Etihad Airlines, the carrier that is fast becoming the pack leader in the highly competitive skies over the Middle East, has teamed up with Swarovski to offer Amenity Kits that will greatly enhance their flying experience.
First class passengers flying from Abu Dhabi to destinations such as London, Paris, Geneva, Sydney and Melbourne are being treated with specially commissioned packs – for the women, a black crystal embellished, take away cosmetic purse, packed with products like moisturizer, hand cream and lip balm from La Prairie. For the men, an exclusive black leather cuff link box with shaving kit. Other items include toothbrush and toothpaste, ear plugs, socks and eyeshades.
Lee Shave, Etihad Airways’ Vice President Product and Services, said in its research, it found that very few airlines are developing product suited to female travellers. “Further, the kits are complemented by high-quality tailored male and female loungewear, an offering exclusive to Etihad Airways First Class passengers. These offerings have been recognised as the best in the industry by prestigious accolades such as the recently awarded World’s Leading First Class by the World Travel Awards.”

So does this throw down the gauntlet for Ethihad’s close competitor? Emirates Airlines offer the A380 in-flight shower spa for first class passengers on it’s long haul routes, with the signature Timeless Spa products allowing a passenger to arrive at their destination feeling relaxed and refreshed. With the airlines all continuing to strive to ensure first class passenger comfort, it’s a win-win situation for the customer!
