Dwyane Wade’s $12,500 Fantasy Basketball Camp

As the Miami Heat continue to set the nation on fire, especially after closing out the series against the Celtics earlier this week, it seems as if everyone has been eager for their spot on the bandwagon. It’s time for the true Heat fans to finally get the recognition they deserve with Dwyane Wade’s fantasy basketball camp to take place in August at Miami’s magnificent Fontainebleau Hotel.
According to the Miami New Times, the camp will cost fans $12,500 and is only for players 35 or older, unlike his two existing youth camps. As Wade is now associated with the Jordan brand, he’s taking a page out of Mike’s book by hosting this high-end fantasy camp for older players – much as Jordan used to in Las Vegas.
The players will receive a Jordan brand jersey, sweats, shorts, personalized shoes, and a possible high-end piece similar to the ring Jordan used to present his campers. What players are really there for, however, is to play ball with the incomparable Dwyane Wade. The VIP counselor will be coaching, drilling, and playing with campers from August 18-21, along with two other valuable counselors – Heat coach Eric Spoelstra and Buzz Williams, head coach at Marquette, where Wade played in college. The luxurious Fontainebleau will transform their ballrooms into ball courts to accommodate this exclusive event.
