Classic Ferraris to be Auctioned off in England
by Georgia Lewis

A treasure trove of classic Ferraris will be auctioned tomorrow, May 18, at Brooklands, an appropriately historic site for the so-called Historics auction.

At the upper end of the price spectrum are two Daytonas. There is one of 158 right-hand drive 364 GTB/4 Daytonas that was made for the British market, expected to fetch up to £210,000. Not only has this car appeared in a race on Top Gear from Portofino to St Tropez but it was also loaned to Prince Charles.  A 1970 Plexiglass Daytona is also expected to sell for up to £210,000.

A Portuguese museum has been the custodian of a stunning 330GT which will also be auctioned with hopes of a selling price of around £80,000. Also around the £80,000-£100,000 mark is a 1971 246GT Dino with the stunning Rosso Corsa with Crema leather combination (a red and cream combination for those whose Italian needs a little work…).

Or if you want to take more than one passenger, you might like to consider the 250GTE, which has a proper backseat for two extra passengers.

With just 13,000 miles on the clock, a rare 1983 512BBi is also up for grabs – it is just one of 42 right-hand-drive versions made for the UK.

If these beauties are still out of your budget, there are two front-engined 456s with an estimated value of between £20,000 – £28,000. One of these was previously owned by British comedian Rowan Atkinson and it comes in the iconic Verde Inglese colour, better known to most motoring enthusiasts as British Racing Green.
