The Lexington Social House Opens it Doors to Hollywood
by Susie Wong

As if Hollywood needed any more reason to get its social on, The Lexington Social House has soft-opened its doors to the public after weeks of private events. Brother-sister duo, Jeremy and Junella Chin, with help from designer Thomas Shoos and Choice Hospitality Group, brought the 10,000-square-foot venue from concept to fruition.

They invited Executive Chef Mette Williams, formerly of Spago, to partake and infuse her culinary genius into the market-to-table venture. Geared around a supper-clubbish ambiance, Williams creates a wide assortment of appetizers and small plates to whet and satiate her guests’ appetites featuring everything from cheese plates, to octopus, to lamb.  Her entrees take a less adventurous turn with classics like salmon, fried chicken, and NY strip.

Anyone knows you can’t truly get your social on without getting your drink on too, so The Social House has created a menu of slick-named sassy cocktails, such as the Hitman with moonshine whiskey, lime syrup, and blackberries and the Femme Fatale a mélange of gin, lemon, rose confit, and prosecco, to elevate your game to the next level.

The uber-sexy eclectic interior blends rich, dark floors with soft fabrics and bold patterns on the walls of the dining room. Stick-man artwork, courtesy of Thomas Shoos himself, and quirky furniture pieces pop the pretentious bubble with a little touch of humor. Socialites can escape to the rooftop after dinner for a more lounge-like feel or burn some calories off at the 1,000-square-foot nightclub also located on the capacious premises.

Located just behind The Redbury Hotel on Vine Street and right off the Hollywood walk-of-fame, this is sure to be L.A.’s newest ultimate haute spot.
