The Face of Nina Ricci’s New Fragrance L’Elixir Performs Live in Dubai

L’Elixir, Nina Ricci’s latest eau de parfum has arrived in Dubai with a full-fledged celebratory performance by Florrie, the fragrance’s new face. Guests mingled while listening to the electrifying private performance this past Wednesday at Art Sawa.

Nina Ricci’s mythical apple-shaped bottle of the fifties designed by Marc Lalique and Robert Ricci is mysterious, enticing, sensual, incredibly feminine as well as a reference to the Biblical fall of Eve. The bottle is recreated today to elegantly enclose Nina Ricci’s latest perfume, L’Elixir.

Robert Ricci’s background was one of theater and musical performance. In the post-war years he became involved with the “Petit Théâtre de la Mode” an exhibition organized by the Syndical Chamber for Haute Couture. Alongside Christian Bérard, Boris Kochno, and Jean Cocteau, he helped to create a fairytale fashion show with dolls all splendidly dressed in some of the biggest names in French fashion at the time. His love for movement and theater led him to eventually dress members of the Bolshoi Ballet in costumes for a performance of Cinderella.
The new Nina honors the tradition Robert Ricci founded of femininity, movement and bold modernism. The young artist who gives her face to the latest Nina perfume is none other than a singer, songwriter, composer and drummer. At just 21-years of age, British artist Florrie incorporates the feminine brilliance, power, and theatrical charm which motivated Robert Ricci’s work.
