HAutos: Porsche Approves Production for 918 Spyder

Jaws dropped last year as the 918 Porsche Spyder was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. And now, Porsche has announced the car has been approved for production. This 4.0-litre 8 engine vehicle generates an impressive 718 horsepower. As an heir to the Carrera GT, this unique hybrid car has received an abundance of positive responses. With an astounding 78 miles per gallon, this new Spyder will cost around $845,000, with only 918 examples available worldwide.

Although the masterpiece will take a few years to complete, the special edition 911 Turbo S Edition Spyder is currently available for a cool $160,000, and has some similar features to the 918 Porsche Spyder.
