Since 1900 the New York International Auto Show has supplied the city’s diverse metropolitan population with the most innovative, practical, and luxury cars the industry has to offer. Jacob Javits Convention Center will play host once more to the auto feast this year providing its audience with a buffet of vehicles from gas-guzzlers to fuel-sippers and Pagani to Chevy.

Last night, the auto show presented an exclusive list of car connoisseurs and event supporters with a special showing followed by a charity gala to benefit East Side House Settlement, a community-based organization geared towards college preparation. According to their website, “East Side House is a community resource in the South Bronx. Our focus is on critical developmental periods – - early childhood and adolescence – - and critical junctures – - points at which people are determined to become economically independent.”

The center will open its doors today until 10p.m. for a sneak-peak and will then officially open to the public tomorrow morning where festivities will begin as early as 8:30 a.m and will come to a close on May 1, 2011.
