Hautels: Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong Opens as World’s Highest Hotel

In a city where sleek skyscrapers are ubiquitous, it’s difficult to stand head and shoulders above the rest, but Hong Kong’s newest luxe accommodation, the Ritz-Carlton, has managed to do just that.

Situated on the 102nd to 118th floor of the city’s tallest building, the 484-meter International Commerce Centre, all 312 of the new hotel’s rooms offer lofty vistas over Victoria Harbour and the city’s famous skyline.

The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong boasts six dining venue, which been created by some of the biggest names in restaurant design, including Japan’s Spin Design Studio and Wonderwall. Most spectacular, however, is Ozone, which features the world’s highest al fresco terrace from its location on the hotel’s 118th floor, and serves contemporary Asian tapas. Those with a penchant for sweet treats, meanwhile, shouldn’t miss the Chocolate Library, a lounge dedicated to all things cocoa.

In addition to presenting some unique culinary propositions, the hotel is a fitting location for fashionistas, as one of the city’s most upscale malls, Elements, is situated in the podium of the building. Once you’re shopped out, zoom up to the 100th floor and stroll out to the newly-opened Sky 100 observation deck – Hong Kong’s only observation deck to offer 360-degree views over the city – to witness the best views that Hong Kong currently offers.
