Haute Spot: O Fine Japanese Cuisine Opens

Fans of O Fine Japanese Cuisine in Laguna Beach can rejoice the opening of O’s second location in Irvine. So whether you’re in South County or in the northern environs, there’s going to be an O Fine Japanese Sushi not too far away. The new location is serving up the same high quality sushi as the original location, so don’t worry about quality control — just get your chopsticks ready.

Though the menu is mostly the same — favorites from the Laguna Beach location include the King Crab Roll (wrapped in soy paper), Lobster Dynamite, Chilean Sea Bass baked with miso yaki, O Roll (sashimi wrapped in cucumber), Clam Soup, Barbeque Lamb Rack, and more, the new O will have a Bento Box daily lunch special that changes every single day. Also different is the translucent, LED-light accented sushi bar and calming 10-foot water feature. Also, the Irvine location boasts the perfect venue for business meetings or private parties. The special 32-seat private dining room features a computer, screen and projector for the next time you need to add a big splash to a presentation.

To celebrate the opening of the new location, the restaurant will be donating 10% of all proceeds collected through April 15th to the American Red Cross Japanese Disaster Relief Fund, directly benefitting the victims of the earthquake and tsunami.

O Fine Japanese Cuisine is located at 6731 Quail Hill Pkwy., at the Quail Hill Village Center in Irvine.  For more information or to make reservations, call the restaurant directly at 949.748.1896.

Chinese and Japanese restaurants aside, the other Asian foods are sorely under-represented in Moscow. When it comes to cuisine such as Korean, your options are very limited. However, there are some very good restaurants that do specialize in Korean cuisine and offer very plausible Korean BBQ.
