Touted handbag designer Laura Buccellati credits her passion for leather goods to her DNA. At age six she received a fateful gift from her beloved father, jewelry designer Luca Buccellati, a hand-crafted personalized carryall made of calfskin. This ignited a love affair of handbags, and along with her Grandmother’s admirable collection, prompted her to create her own line. In May 2009, the Laura Buccellati Collection was born.
The strong structured lines of her timeless handbags, constructed of exotic leathers from ostrich to stingray, have become her signature code. Celebrities, socialites, fashion gurus, and lovers of fine quality have all been wooed by the brilliant artistry of this self-made woman.
