On Saturday, April 2, Haute Living was a proud sponsor of this year’s most extravagant events to take place in Miami–the Blacks’ Annual Gala.
Before she became Miami’s favorite housewife on the hit show The Real Housewives of Miami, Lea Black and her husband Roy, were already a staples in the Miami philanthropic scene.
For the past 17 years, the couple has hosted the ‘gala of all galas,’ and this year’s event, held at the Eden Rod Renaissance in Miami Beach, was no different. Highlights included a red carpet entrance, gourmet dinner, silent & live auctions, and memorable performances by Dionne Warwick,Pharrell Williams, and Pitbull.
Notable attendees included, Lea’s Housewives cast-mates, Adriana De Moura, Alexia Echevarria, and Marysol Patton, along with Adam Gaynor of Matchbox 20, actors Gabrielle Anwar and Jeffrey Donovan of “Burn Notice,” and three-time Indy 500 Champ,Helio Castroneves. Also in attendance–Joe Francis, Lisa and Donald Pliner, Arthur Benjamin, Jonathan Babicka, Jim Ferraro, Robert Hoff and Patrick Bogosse, Ingrid Casares, Belkys Nerey, Frank Amadeo & Jason Binn, and Haute Living Publisher, Kamal Hotchandani, Associate Publisher Sarah Mirmelli, National Fashion Director, Jilian Sanz, and Haute Ambassador Xenia Tchoumitcheva.
This year, the gala raise more than $750,000, all of which will go toward at-risk children through the charity’s partnerships with the Miami-Dade County Juvenile Services Department.
