Dori’s World: A Week in Sunny Florida

It’s the end of the season for Florida. I had Passover with my family, Ally Freundlich, Robin Schwartz, Lauren Cooperman, Ed and Judy Cooperman, Andrew Bernbaum, and about 20 others both nights in Boca. I also caught time to try out Flywheel which was great. I am a diehard Soul Cycle Stacy fan, but Jake Spitz recommended Flywheel in Boca and I loved it.
I then went to The Setai to hang with Rob Vecsler and Harry Lefrak and tons of other friends for the weekend. One night I had dinner at Nobu with Caroline and Thomas de Neufville, Andrea Gutierrez, and Vivian and Miguel Duenas.
I told u all about my Soho House evening and The Setai pool with Jason Halpern, Izzy Goldreich, Stephanie Hirsch, Anne Marie Kortright, Scott Shilstat, and Fabian Basabe. Of course, Maggio and Ignazio Cipriani were there, who are planning their new location for a restaurant in Miami–very exciting news. Also there was Wayne Boich, Daniella Rich, Richard Kilstock, Travis McCourt, Jeff Altman and John Rifkin. And there were so many run ins in Miami like Jason Port and Richie Notar.
Then it was off to see Nancy and Jeff Lane, Lizzie and Jon Tisch, Jenny Cohen, Cheryl and Mike Minikes and Billy and Phyllis Mack in Palm Beach for a nice dinner at the Palm Beach County Club. Finally, I flew home Lane and Tisch style. Such a great ten days in Florida!
Haute 100 San Francisco member, founder of The GAP, and revered art collector Doris Fisher has recently loaned a 235-ton sheet metal sculpture called “Sequence” to the Cantor Arts Center at Stanford University, of which Fisher is an alumna and still keeps close connections to.
Summertime, especially early July, is my favorite time of year to vacation in St. Tropez. The restaurants aren’t too crowded and hotspots such as Club 55 have a nice mix of patrons.
I am so excited for this weekend, my good friend artist Stephanie Hirsch will be showing her work in The Miami Design District in one of Craig Robin's amazing Dacra galleries.
When one door closes, another opens - and such is the case with Sunny Spot in Venice. The former Beachwood space on Washington Boulevard is now bursting with color and flavor thanks to Kogi chef Roy Choi. Brian Butler, cocktail connoisseur of A-Frame fame, put together the rum-centric drinks menu. W...

On Friday, Dana Taylor hosted a summer lunch the Core Club. Such a beautiful day to be outside on the sunny terrace.
Having a blast aboard the Christino O yacht with Henrique Pinto, the famous Brazilian and 40 friends We made stops in St. Tropez and Corsica. I was one of the lucky guests invited to sail with him!
