Art Opening: MOCA Los Angeles Street Art Exhibit

A true West Coast meets East Coast of art, street culture & celebrity. MOCA Los Angeles under the guidance of Director Jeffrey Deitch had one of the city’s largest openings last week for “Art in the Streets.” A timeline of street art, graffiti and installations from the ’70s to the present including pieces from Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Keith Haring all the way to Neckface & André (of Le Baron and Paul & Andre nightclubs.)
Various celebritiy attendees included Jake Gyllenhaal, Adrian Grenier, Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale, Eli & Edythe Broad, Will Kopelman & Drew Barrymore, Mandy & Cliff Einstein, exhibit curators Roger Gastman & Aaron Rose, Lance Armstrong, Cheech Marin, Erika Christensen, Balthazar & Rosetta Getty, Christina Ricci, Seth Rogen, restaurateur Peter Morton, producer Brian Grazer, director McG, David Geffen, designer Darren Romanelli, Liz Goldwyn, Maggie Kayne, Tony Kanal (plus the members of No Doubt), artist Keith Hufnagel, artist Honor Fraser, artist Kenny Scharf, designer Jeremy Scott, artist Shepard Fairey, David Morehouse, photographer Patrick Hoelck, publicist Angelique Groh, and Mark Hunter aka the Cobrasnake.
The exhibition opened Sunday, April 17 and will run through August 8.
