Fashionistas will have the opportunity to meet designer Zang Toi and preview his fall 2011 collection at a special event on Wednesday, April 20, and Thursday, April 21, at Neiman Marcus in Scottsdale.

The bold and sexy designs of New York-based fashion designer Zang Toi burst onto the scene in the 1989 when he established his label, “House of Toi.” A graduate of the Parsons School of Design, he has since then dressed such A-listers as Sharon Stone, Fergie (of the Black Eyed Peas), Ivana Trump, Kelly Preston, Meg Ryan, Eva Longoria, Debra Messing, Farrah Fawcett, Angela Bassett and others.

The Fall/Winter 2011 Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week, held in February at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, saw the kind of dramatic and sexy Zang Toi couture the fashion world has come to adore and expect from the Malaysian designer. The season’s color palette is simple yet elegant, showcasing shades of camel, black, gray and a vibrant yet sophisticated emerald green. High necks, capes, long lines, fur and billowy, feminine sleeves are just a few of the prominent features, with the evening gowns boasting regal glamour and beautifully figure-flattering silhouettes.

This special event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days in the Couture Salon on the second level of Neiman Marcus at Scottsdale Fashion Square. Shoppers will have the chance to preview Zang Toi’s latest collection up close and in person, as well as meet the man behind the couture.
