The Most Expensive Home in NYC Can Now Be Yours…For $90 Million

If you thought that the whopping $60 million for Miami’s most expensive home (a 30,000-square-foot bay-front mansion) was impressive, then you’ll be awed to discover that Manhattan’s most expensive home – a 15,000-square-foot French Gothic style townhouse on Manhattan’s Upper East Side – can now also be yours…for $90 million.

Located at 4 East 80th Street, just off of Fifth Avenue, this 35-foot-wide townhouse was built back in 1916 by NYC business mogul Frank Winfield Woolworth for his daughter, Helena. (It sits between two other mansions that her father had built for her two sisters.)

The 7-story home includes 10 bedrooms, 11.5 bathrooms, 3 kitchens, an extravagent main entry hall featuring massive fireplace and grand staircase. Upon entering the second floor, you’ll be swept away by floor-to-ceiling windows that reach more than 14-feet-high and intricate Renaissance-esque decor and architectural details that are on par with Versailles. Other features include dining room that can seat more than 50, 35-foot-wide wood-paneled library, gym, private office, staff suite, and elevator.
