Morton’s Hits Dallas With a Bang for Your Buck Menu
We needed another white napkin steak place like we needed to sell opening day tickets to the Rangers this year. Pfffft. Luckily, the newest classic upscale steak eatery to hit the Big D is Morton’s, a familiar and definitively a renowned name in the restaurant biz.
What will you expect to see at Morton’s? All your classic favorites and very few of the frills. Have a seat and enjoy the simple, long placard menu, no leather bound volumes to speak of. Start off with some Oysters Rockeller, or perhaps a collection of seafood great such as shrimp cocktail and broiled sea scallops wrapped in bacon, and wash it down with a specialty Mortini of you choice. Then get your great big Texan appetite ready for a perfectly cooked taste meat, from a rib eye to a prime rib (available weekends only.) Of course, if you have a hungry date (or just a real affinity for the “Man vs. Food show) you can always go for The Double Porterhouse, for a mere $106. Don’t forget to add your sides of asparagus and baked potato.
Looking for something a little lighter? The Power Hour special at Morton’s runs all day Sunday through Friday for $7.50 martinis and cheap beers, and the bar bites menu gets cheaper, too, with a little hiatus around dinner time each night. The verdict: Bring your appetite and your pocket book to Morton’s for a classic steak dinner.
