Limited Edition Fragrance to Benefit Japanese Earthquake Victims
by Benjamin-Émile Le Hay

The parfumeur Louison Libertin of Paris-based label “Technique Indiscrete,” has launched a limited edition fragrance line to raise funds for victims of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, which hit hardest in North East Japan.

Libertin states that he already had 1,000 bottles of perfume, purposed for another cause, but after the devastation cause by the disaster in Japan, he elected to redesign the flacons for Tōhoku victims.

Louison first began as a fashion designer, launching a namesake collection which earned him an invite into the selective haute couture federation. After a three-year break from fashion, Louison set forth on a new departure: France’s Cinqième Sens to become a classically-trained, perfumer and nez. Shortly thereafter, he began developing his own line of custom and unique fragrances, candles and cosmetics in his independent laboratory in Paris, under the label “Technique Indiscrete.”

His lavender-scented flacons will be sold at www.techniqueindiscrete.com, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the inhabitants of Kanku, a town that has been severely hit by the tsunami. Libertin has a personal connection to Kanku, where he was working with a perfume factory for the past two years.
