Lady Gaga’s Dallas Appearance: The Surprise at the Round-Up and the American Airlines Center Show
It was another timely gathering for all the Little Monsters in Dallas Monday night, as thousands flocked to see the second American Airlines appearance in a year of Lady Gaga, currently on her Monster Ball Tour. Belting out her radio-worthy hits (and what seems like an equal amount of wardrobe changes,) The Queen of Pop showed fans once more she is truly in it for the faithful masses.
One theme that came out during the show, and which also prevails in her “Born Like This” album, is the negative result of bullying someone over their differences. Lady Gaga herself who is known to push the envelope of fashion, music and art itself, expressed her wish to concert-goers that “you love yourselves a little more than when you walked in.”
Audience members, not to be outdone, celebrated Gaga’s fete in an almost Halloween-esque fashion, donning their craziest get-ups or strutting their stuff in little more than caution tape and a smile. The pop icon sang favorites like “Paparazzi,” “Just Dance” and “Bad Romance,” while acting out a “story” of how she and her team of miscreants made it to the illusive Monster Ball. Her typical over-the-top, avant garde garments made quite a splash, and her stripped-down piano-on-fire rendition of “Born Like This” took the house down.
Miss Gaga also surprised folks the night before at local club The Round-Up Saloon, showing up unannounced with a trail of shirtless cowboys to perform her hit song “Born Like This.” She then disappeared as swiftly as she came, leaving stunned audience members with priceless iPhone photos in her wake.
