The James Beard Foundation Awards Announces This Year’s Hosts

Haute off the press, the James Beard Foundation has just announced today its hosts for the upcoming 2011 James Beard Foundation Awards, the most prestigious restaurant award ceremonies in the U.S. The trio of culinary hosts will include Tom Colicchio (of Craft restaurant in NYC), Ming Tsai (of Blue Ginger in Boston) and Traci Des Jardins (Public House, San Francisco).
The James Beard Foundation also announced that prior to the awards ceremony, on Friday, May 6, 2011, Emmy Award-winning host of the Food Network’s “Chopped” Ted Allen will host the annual James Beard Foundation Book, Broadcast & Journalism Awards Dinner at New York City’s Espace along with co-host Gail Simmons from Bravo’s “Top Chef.”
The James Beard Foundation Awards ceremony and gala will take place on Monday, May 9 at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall. Stay tuned for more news on one of the hautest foodie events of the year!
