Haute Spot: Bar Italia Opens on Madison Avenue

Bar Italia, the Italian restaurant located on 77th and 2nd Avenue, has just opened its sister restaurant further downtown on Madison Avenue. The new location offers a modern (all white walls), cool atmosphere with a Mediterranean twist. Former Cipriani Chef Denis Franceschini and General Manager Hassan El Garrahy have teamed up with Jean Denoyer and Regis Marinier of the successful Orsay Restaurant Group, to open the new Bar Italia.

With a chic and lively scene, Bar Italia is a great place to eat, drink, enjoy a delicious meal and people watch. Some of my favorite dishes include the sliced seared tuna served with fennel in a balsamic dressing, a corn, tomato, cucumber salad and an excellent Red Snapper filet with grilled vegetables. If you are looking for a fun, uptown place with great food and good service for a birthday party, date night, or just a regular night on the town, Bar Italia is the place to be.
