Haute Secrets Los Angeles: The Beverly Hilton’s Lynda Simonetti
by Jill Paris

Lynda “The Hostess with the Mostess” Simonetti has been living in Los Angeles for the past five years, currently residing in Beverly Hills. She has been the Publicity Director for the Beverly Hilton Hotel for six years and was truly born to fulfill the role she so dearly loves – entertaining and taking care of people. Perhaps it’s her Libra tendencies that help “balance things out and wish for everyone to be happy,” she says in a heartfelt tone. And, we believe her. Juggling a mere 250 red carpet events per year at the historic venue takes careful organization, planning and most of all, a calm demeanor to maintain equilibrium.
What she loves most about the hotel industry is that “it’s a living and breathing entity open 24- hours a day.” Some of the more infamous events held every year at the Beverly Hilton Hotel are: The Golden Globe Awards, the Oscar Nominations Luncheon, the Pre-Grammy party and the Carousel of Hope hosted every two years which benefits juvenile diabetes. Last year the gathering raised 3.2 million dollars.
Her genuine love of people spills out across the marbled lobby, onto the streets where she lives as you’ll often find her on foot around town, often chatting with the locals
