Haute Event: The Cosmopolitan Las Vegas and Blue Ribbon Sushi Host Late Night Culinary Bash
The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and the famed Blue Ribbon brothers Eric and Bruce Bromberg brought the lights of Vegas to Miami for the 2011 Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival on Sunday, Feb. 27. The luxurious Las Vegas hotel and resort brought culinary A-listers together for a tasty late night party at Miami’s New World Center.
Blue Ribbon’s eclectic, unique and unorthodox menu has been heralded as the best of hip, late night dining and, having a signature restaurant at the Cosmopolitan, Blue Ribbon’s award-winning chefs, brothers Eric and Bruce Bromberg, provided the party’s exceptional foodie guest list with an incredible spread of savory late night comestibles and free-flowing cocktails in true Blue Ribbon style.
In attendance at the late night soiree was quite the roster of the culinary world’s elite. Travel Channel’s Andrew Zimmern was in attendance along with Food Network’s Giada de Laurentiis, Tyler Florence, Alex Guarnaschelli, Marc Murphy, and Next Iron Chef’s Chef Morimoto, Marc Forgione, John Besh, and Nate Appleman, who was also named Food & Wine Best New Chef 2009. From Top Chef fame, judge and Top Chef: Just Desserts host Gail Simmons from Food & Wine attended along with Bryan Voltaggio and Spike Mendelsohn. Taking a break from some of America’s most illustrious kitchens and restaurants to also join the party was a slew of award-winning chefs including Scott Conant, Tim Love, John DeLucie, Food & Wine’s Best New Chef 2009 winner Chris Kostow, Paul Bartolotta, Alfred Portale, and molecular gastronomy master Wylie Dufresne.
