It’s no secret that La Prairie is one of the top names in skin care. What may be lesser known is the history behind the scientific skin care line, and the direction their new technology is headed.  I recently attended a “Power Up” event at Bloomingdales to learn more about their Cellular Power Infusion treatment.

At the La Prairie counter I sat down for a quick tutorial about Cellular Power Infusion while one of the masseuses they had on hand gave me a much-needed shoulder massage. Sold in a set of four small bottles, the treatment is designed to be used twice a day for 30 days, two to three times a year. The technology is innovative and hopeful. Its goal is to simultaneously treat the three key factors of aging, which are loss of energy, handicapped functionality of skin cells, and weakened quality of the skin tissue. La Prairie describes the new product as a powerful, non-surgical option to renew and reset skin. And with ingredients like Swiss snow algae and phyto stem cell extract, you can be sure the doctors have done their homework!

If the science behind the product doesn’t win you over, the packaging design will. Known for their trendsetting sleek and sophisticated designs, La Prairie continues to awe with this new product. I read a New York Times article that described them as the “Apple” of the beauty world, and could not agree more. My friend Grace happens to be a designer for La Prairie in New York, and told me a little about the creative genius behind the brand. Their goal is to design packaging as elegant and luxurious as the products themselves, while also focusing on ergonomics and efficiency of use. La Prairie is a lifestyle decision for those who want skin as sleek as the vials their serums come in!
