Haute Event: Natalia Vodianova Hosts Naked Heart Foundation’s 5th Anniversary Gala in Moscow

Last night saw the dazzling supermodel Natalia Vodianova bring her annual The Naked Heart Charity Gala to Moscow – supported by Harper’s Bazaar magazine and Guerlain- and get the great and the gorgeous together for a night to remember. It was particularly notable due to the fact that the Naked Heart Foundation was celebrating its 5th Anniversary.

Held at Red October factory space, the night began to flow with Veuve Clicquot Champagne and oligarchs and society beauties aplenty. The highlight of the event was charitable auction. Illustrated guests including Hollywood actress Svetlana Metkina, Miss World 2008 Xenia Sukhinova, misician Ronnie Wood and socialite Elena Perminova took part in the auction to raise funds for Vodianova’s charity. The auction was held by foundation’s partner - Christie’s Auction House; and unique lots included paintings by international and Russian artists.

The more than $1 million raised during the auction went directly to the Naked Heart Foundation. Founded in 2005 by Vodianova, the Foundation builds playgrounds for disadvantaged Russian children. The playgrounds are equipped with modern facilities and adhere to international safety standards. The Foundation selects the location of each park, produces designs, implements construction and monitors each stage of the process from conception to opening. Today, thanks to the efforts of the Naked Heart Foundation, there are already 40 children’s playgrounds in Russia.

Gala dinner for more than 250 international and Russian guests was followed by Ronny Wood and his band The Smiths concert.
