Haute Event: HBS Charity Fashion Show
by Kate Dempsey-Stouffer

It looks like Tyra Banks is not the only model on Harvard’s campus anymore. On Tuesday, March 29, the Retail and Luxury Goods Club of Harvard Business School will host its annual Charity Fashion Show to benefit Dress for Success. This year’s theme, “City a la Mode” will feature clothing by designers such as Hunter Dixon, Ted Baker, Vince, Ali Ro, Diane von Furstenberg, and Theory. Sponsors of the event include Diallo Ferguson Photography, Salon Marc Harris, makeup artist Kacie Corbelle, Diane von Furstenberg, BirchBox, and Jack Wills.
Both the show and the after party will be held at Mantra restaurant in Boston, with doors opening at 8:00 p.m. and the show beginning promptly at 9:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from the event’s website, with all proceeds going to a worthy cause. Dress for Successis an organization seeking to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing them not only professional attire, but a network of support and valuable career development skills to help foster professional and personal success.
All 32 of the models who will strut their stuff on the runway this year are either students or spouses at Harvard Business School, and were selected through a casting call with the help of professional runway coaches. Is it just me or is Harvard getting hauter?
